Cleaning the vacuum tube collector can be done in the following steps:
1. Preparation
Choose the right time: It is best to clean it in the early morning, evening, or on a cloudy day, and avoid cleaning it when the sun is strong, to avoid burns caused by excessive temperature of the vacuum tube.
Prepare tools: soft brush (such as sponge brush or long-handled soft brush), bucket, clean rag, neutral detergent (such as dishwashing liquid), water pipe, etc.
2. Shut down the system
If the collector is connected to the hot water system, close the water inlet valve and outlet valve, stop the system operation, and prevent water from flowing in or out during the cleaning process.
3. Remove the vacuum tube
For detachable vacuum tube collectors, carefully remove the vacuum tubes from the collector frame one by one. Handle with care during disassembly to avoid collision and damage to the vacuum tube.
If the vacuum tube is not detachable, it can be cleaned directly in situ, but the cleaning effect may be slightly worse.
4. Clean the vacuum tube
External cleaning:
Put the vacuum tube on a flat ground and gently wipe the outside of the vacuum tube with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt on the surface.
If there are stubborn stains, you can use a soft brush to dip a small amount of neutral detergent, gently scrub the outside of the vacuum tube, and then rinse it with clean water.
Be careful not to use a hard brush or sharp objects to scratch the surface of the vacuum tube to avoid damaging the selective absorption coating of the vacuum tube.
Internal cleaning:
If the vacuum tube can be disassembled, you can soak one end of the vacuum tube in a bucket, add an appropriate amount of neutral detergent, and gently scrub the inside of the vacuum tube with a soft brush to remove the scale and impurities inside.
Then rinse the inside of the vacuum tube repeatedly with clean water to ensure that the detergent is completely rinsed.
If the vacuum tube is not removable, you can use a special vacuum tube cleaning tool and insert it into the inside of the vacuum tube for cleaning. This tool usually comes with a brush and a nozzle, which can be cleaned without disassembling the vacuum tube.
V. Cleaning the collector frame and connecting parts
Wipe the collector frame and connecting parts with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt on the surface.
Check whether the connecting parts are loose or damaged, and repair or replace them in time if there are any problems.
6. Install the vacuum tube
Install the cleaned vacuum tubes one by one back to the collector frame to ensure that they are firmly installed.
Check whether the seals between the vacuum tube and the collector frame are intact. If damaged, replace them in time.
7. Start the system
Open the water inlet and outlet valves, start the hot water system, and check whether the collector is operating normally and whether there are any problems such as water leakage.
If everything is normal, the cleaning work is completed.
It should be noted that when cleaning the vacuum tube collector, be careful to avoid damaging the vacuum tube and collector components. If you are unsure or unfamiliar with the cleaning process, it is recommended to ask a professional to clean it. In addition, regular cleaning of the vacuum tube collector can improve the efficiency of the collector and extend its service life.
