1. Solar collector part
Regular cleaning:
Every once in a while (usually 2-3 months), check whether there is dust, dirt, leaves, and other debris on the surface of the solar collector. If there is, it should be cleaned in time to ensure that the collector can fully absorb sunlight.
You can use a soft damp cloth to gently wipe the surface of the collector, and avoid using hard objects or corrosive detergents to avoid damaging the coating of the collector.
Check the sealing:
Check whether the connection between the collector and the pipeline is well sealed and whether there is any water leakage. If the seal is not tight, the seal should be replaced or repaired in time.
Make sure that the glass tube or flat plate of the collector is not damaged. If it is damaged, it should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the heat collection effect and causing safety hazards.
2. Water storage tank part
Check the water level:
Check the water level of the water storage tank regularly to ensure that the water level is within the normal range. If the water level is too low, it may affect the normal operation of the solar water heater; if the water level is too high, it may cause the water tank to overflow.
The water level can be checked by observing the water level indicator on the water tank or using a water level sensor.
Clean the water tank:
Clean the water tank every once in a while (usually half a year to a year). Drain the water in the water tank, then rinse the inside of the water tank with clean water to remove scale and impurities.
If there is a lot of scale, you can use a special water tank cleaning agent to clean it, but be careful to use it according to the requirements of the instructions to avoid corrosion to the water tank.
Check the insulation layer:
Check whether the insulation layer of the water tank is intact and whether it is damaged or falling off. If the insulation layer is damaged, it will cause heat loss and affect the performance of the water heater.
If necessary, the insulation layer can be repaired or replaced.
3. Electric auxiliary heating part
Check the circuit:
Regularly check whether the circuit of the electric auxiliary heating device is normal, whether there is a short circuit, open circuit, etc. You can use tools such as a multimeter for detection.
Check whether the wires are aging or damaged. If there are any problems, they should be replaced in time.
Control the temperature:
Reasonably set the temperature of the electric auxiliary heating to avoid the temperature being too high or too low. Generally speaking, the temperature of the electric auxiliary heating should be set between 50-60℃ to ensure the comfort and safety of hot water.
It can be adjusted according to the season and actual needs, but do not set too high a temperature to avoid wasting electricity and causing safety hazards.
Regular maintenance:
Maintain the electric auxiliary heating device at regular intervals (usually one year). Professionals can be asked to check and maintain it to ensure its normal operation.
The maintenance content includes checking whether the heating elements, thermostats, relays and other components are normal. If there are any problems, they should be replaced in time.
IV. Other aspects
Winter protection:
In the cold winter, pay attention to antifreeze protection of solar water heaters. Measures such as draining the water in the pipes and installing electric heating cables can be taken to prevent the pipes and collectors from being frozen.
If the solar water heater is not used for a long time, the water in the water tank should also be drained to avoid freezing and damage to the equipment at low temperatures.
Regular inspection:
Regularly check the overall performance of the solar water heater, including the heat collection effect, hot water supply, electric auxiliary heating function, etc. If problems are found, they should be repaired or adjusted in time.
Professionals can be asked to conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the solar water heater.
